Contracts Control
The Contracts system is optimised for workshops undertaking work on behalf of customers in accordance with a specific contract. The contract can be structured between two separate organisations or can be between different business units within a single organisation. Users include:
  • Local authorities working on behalf of user departments.
  • Fire, Police and Ambulance Services with centralised workshops in which maintenance is cross-charged and.
  • Water Authorities with centralised workshops.
  • Commercial organisations which have secured contracts to supply maintenance services to the public sector.
Freeway manages all work and generates 'per-job' or 'monthly' invoices in accordance with the contract which might specify:
  • differential rates depending on the reason for the work being done ('accident damage' might be chargeable while 'routine maintenance' might be covered by a fixed charge),
  • the type of asset being worked on (plant items might be charged differently to vehicles),
  • the time at which the work was done (for example 'time' or 'time-and-a-half'),
  • differential parts charging ('Tyres' for example might be charged at X % above cost, while 'Consumables' might be charged Y% below Recommended Retail Price).

Asset details in the system include contract details as applied to that specific asset (there can be several contracts within the system and more than one contract per organisation - for example one contract for Heavy Goods Vehicles and another for Plant).

Routine Scheduling caters for all required routine maintenance and adminsistrative tasks including Annual Checks, Safety Inspections, Tacho Recalibrations, Oil Changes.
