There are two levels at which security can be managed
Menu Access: Menu item access must be 'positively' assigned. In other words menu items are not available by default - and until such time as a 'User' is specifically given access to a menu item (either directly, or by their membership of a 'Group' which has been granted access) it will not appear on their screens. This process is managed from the User Manager application.
Component Access: Each form in Freeway consists of a number of buttons, fields, and drop-down options. These must be 'negatively' denied. In other words components are available by default to all 'Users' and until such time as they are specifically removed from a 'User' (directly or by virtue of their membership of a 'Security Group') they will appear on their screens. This process is managed from within the Stock Manager application by a designated Super-User. There are different ways in which Component Access can be constrained in this way, specifically:
