Freeway keeps track of several different stock quantities:

 

• Held: The number currently held in stock
• On Order: The number that have been ordered but not yet received
• Earmarked:  The number that are earmarked for a specific use
• Available: The amount practically available (Held - Earmarked)
• Projected:  The amount that the system expects to have in stock (Held + Ordered - Earmarked)

 

The stock quantities are maintained for each part at each store where there are multiple stores.
