Freeway allows for two fundamental types of order:

 

• Purchase for Stock:Those orders that are for stock are received into stock and are available for use as required.

 

• Purchase for a Purpose: At the point of purchase it is possible to specify the purpose for which the item is being purchased.  Freeway will then automatically manage the issue of the part.  There are three classes of purpose:
•      For a job-card
•      For a vehicle
•      For a Cost-centre

 

Technical Note: Crystal Reports distinguishes between the different types of line by:

Stock         (HSTK_LIT = 0)

Vehicle       (HSTK_LIT = 1)

Cost Centre (HSTK_LIT = 2)

Job Card     (HSTK_LIT = 3)
